National Indigenous Art Fair & Weaving Workshop 2022

The National Indigenous Art Fair returned to the Sydney Harbour foreshore for the first time since 2019. Anindilyakwa Arts was one of more than fifty ethical indigenous art stallholders from around the country, bringing the unique art of the Groote Archipelago back to Sydney.  

Arts and Culture Officers Danibana Noeleen Lalara and Maicie Lalara were both selling artworks and conducting weaving workshops with other interstate weavers, teaching fair attendees the basics so they could all contribute to the creation of a large woven installation. Thank you to everyone who made to trip to visit us despite the torrential rain!
