Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) 2023

Anindilyakwa Arts attended Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) for the first time this year with our Queensland artists taking center stage!  

Many of our artists were born or have family members from the Cape York region and had requested a special project where they could celebrate their Queensland stories; CIAF was the perfect opportunity.  

Arts and Culture Officer Charmaine Kerindun, whose father is from Aurukun, and emerging artist Patricia Lalara, whose mother is from Mornington Island, travelled to Carins for the event. The event was a big success, especially as the team had a chance to catch up with family.
